Reverse-ageing Adaptive Foundation

"I’d put foundation on to even things out, then spend another ten minutes adding colour back because my face looked so flat. It felt like painting a new face over my own. That’s what I like about Unmasked. I can still see my freckles and the little differences in my skin. Everything just looks a bit more even. Up close, I still have texture, which is fine with me. I wasn’t expecting a different face. I wanted something I could wear to lunch without feeling more made up than I actually wanted to be."

"I’m not a big makeup person. I’ve bought foundations before, worn them twice, then left them in a drawer because applying them felt like a whole project. I wanted the bare minimum for work. With this, I blend a little in with my fingers and leave it alone. It feels more like applying moisturiser, which is probably why I actually reach for it. I don’t suddenly have a big makeup routine. "The colour-changing part caught my attention, but honestly, I was sceptical. I’ve bought enough makeup that looked lovely in the bathroom and completely different outside. So after blending this in, I went straight to the window with a mirror. What I liked was that I could still see actual skin. My little marks hadn’t magically disappeared, and I didn’t have that painted look either. It just looked more even. I’m not interested in looking airbrushed while I’m buying groceries. ‘My skin but better’ is what I wanted, and that’s the look I liked."
